THE COLOURS
Gillian’s approach to colour design is grounded in an understanding of the relationship between colour, emotion, and personality, as well as a deep knowledge of pigmentation and colour depth in paint. This has allowed her to create a range of palettes with unparalleled depth and range in the marketplace.
Three collections are featured below: the Premier Collection, the Hollywood Hills, and the Golden Hour. These collections are produced by Fine Paints of Europe™, a high-end paint company featuring non-fading pigments produced in the Netherlands. Their products emphasize colour depth, longevity, and quality, in opposition to standard mass-produced grayed-down, paints, and pigments.
GRC’s colour service combines Gillian Rose’s unique colour knowledge with superior paint and pigment products, allowing her to create palettes from her existing colour lines. In addition, she offers custom colour development services, allowing her to create tailored palettes that meet any unique desire.
All paint collections are sold exclusively through Cox Paint. For all paint orders please contact Jason Burt at their Santa Monica location. Paints are mixed per individual order, and are never premanufactured.
THE GOLDEN HOUR
The Golden Hour Collection is inspired by the sky from the start of sundown through twilight—that beautiful moment called the Golden Hour. It’s truly magical—the sky turns warm and the mood turns soft as one prepares for the day ahead.
This palette is truly a product of Southern California, with its lighter, paler sunsets. We do not receive the deep red sunsets of the East Coast, but our Golden Hour has its own uniquely magical quality nonetheless. Luminaries such as David Hockney and Ed Ruscha made their lives and careers in Los Angeles due to its uniquely warm sunlight—similar to that of Provence.
We translated these colours into a palette that brings warmth and magic to your space. These colours create an aura of domesticity, tranquility, and peace, tinged with mystery.
THE PREMIER COLLECTION
The Premier Colour Collection is our primary colour collection of 48 full-spectrum colours, designed to capture a full range of emotions and solutions. Each hue elicits a specific response based on neuroscience and psychology.
Using our Colour Play™ system, Gillian Rose Colour works with clients and designers to create palettes that evoke a desired range of responses to enhance any environment for life, work, or play.

THE HOLLYWOOD HILLS COLLECTION
The Hollywood Hills Collection was inspired by the contrast between the personalities of our clients. As with most couples, opposites attract, and the contrast between an introvert and an extrovert made for a uniquely wonderful interior palette that blended both personalities.
One partner (the extrovert) was drawn to warm, gem-like hues, while the other (the introvert) was soothed by soft neutrals. The Hollywood Hills Collection is the combination of these two distinct personalities that require vastly different amounts of energy and stimulation.
